A New Personal Website

Welcome to my new personal website. This website is a project dedicated to learning the Astro web framework. It will also let me experiment sharing professional information about me and to share thoughts on different topics.

Using the web framework Astro

Astro is a web framework that is open source and where components from other known frameworks like React or Svelte can be used. It is ideal for content-based websites like this blog page. Astro enables me to use the components and to automatically iterate over blog posts written in Markdown. The most intriguing reasons for choosing Astro for this project was:

1. View transitions (not supported in Safari)
2. Optimized for content driven websites
3. Component based

What’s next

I will continute to refine this website and if I find interesting stuff to share I can use this blog page to store and share thoughs and ideas in tech and other things I find iteresting.
